The following is a summary of the Acorn International’s
experience in leading Environmental Due Diligence
Assessment and related services supporting industrial
asset transfers and mergers worldwide:
Acorn has led and performed due diligence assessments to
identify and quantify environmental liabilities as part
of industrial and commercial transactions worldwide, and
has helped clients determine how to handle these liabilities
in transaction negotiations. We recently were part of a team engaged to perform an assessment
of environmental and operations integrity liabilities for one of the world’s
largest pipeline and terminal networks. We also completed a due diligence
assessment of an industrial facility in West Africa, working side by side with
our in-country partner.

Acorn developed a protocol and suite of guidelines and tools
for guiding environmental due diligence in a complete and
consistent manner. The protocol is based on and consistent
with ASTM site assessment standards, but goes beyond that
standard to integrate lessons learned from more than 20 years
of experience in evaluating and designing solutions for industrial
sites in developing countries in cooperation with international
industries, financiers, and regulators. We can apply
these same tools to future assessments. |
