Acorn International’s Principal, Dean Slocum, has been
selected by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) to serve as editor and
committee chair for the development of an SPE Reprint Volume publication on
Health, Safety and Environmental best practices in the international oil and
gas industry. The publication will be a collection of
technical papers that are considered to be the most valuable contributions to
the body of knowledge developed over the last ten years in HSE management for
the industry. Mr. Slocum formed and
chairs a committee of leaders in this field from Statoil, Petrobras, China
National Offshore Oil Company, Chevron and Halliburton.
Acorn’s Heather Boyd is also participating in the paper
review and selection process as an adjunct member of the Committee.
The HSE Reprint Volume is scheduled for publication in late
